NARPM 2006

Introduction

The National Association of Remedial Project Managers (NARPM) promotes the exchange of information between Remedial Project Managers (RPM) from all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regional offices, provides a forum where RPMs discuss regional and national issues of concern, and identifies ways that RPMs respond to those issues. NARPM is one of the formal mechanisms for coordination with EPA Headquarters (HQ) to promote national consistency in the performance of the Superfund program.

The primary tool for accomplishing NARPM’s objectives is the NARPM Annual Training Conference. In addition, NARPM has established formal committees to review guidance and policy and to develop training workshops for RPMs. The EPA Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI), Environmental Response Team (ERT), Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), Office of Environmental Information (OEI), Federal Facilities Restoration and Reuse Office (FFRRO), and the Technical Support Project (TSP) have worked as a team with RPMs across the nation to develop training courses, information sessions, paper discussions, and panel sessions specifically for RPMs.

Objectives of the NARPM Annual Training Conference

The objectives of the NARPM Annual Training Conference are to provide opportunities for RPMs across the country to:

  • Obtain relevant training designed specifically for RPMs
  • Network and exchange information about policies, technologies, cleanup strategies, and lessons learned
